Alexandra de Cramer serves as the Deputy to the Foreign Relations Advisor of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. She holds a BA in Political Science with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies from Tufts University. Prior to joining the Mayor’s team, she worked as a journalist and writer. She launched her journalism career by reporting on the Arab Spring from Beirut for Milliyet newspaper. For five years, she served as a weekly columnist at Syndication Bureau, focusing on economic and political commentary on Türkiye. Her non-political pieces have been featured in publications such as Monocle, Konfekt, and Courier magazines.
